Coconut husk is used to make cocopeat, a versatile growing medium. The fibrous coconut husk is washed before being mechanically dried, filtered, and cleaned to remove dirt and other impurities such leftover plant matter.

Our coconut fiber mills process coconut husks to extract the coir fiber, leaving behind the byproduct known as coco coir or coco peat, which serves as the primary raw material for the coco coir-based growing medium.
Washing and Cleaning of Raw Coco Peat
In order for plant roots to effectively absorb water, coir pith is washed in fresh water to reduce electrical conductivity, a measurement of the salt content.
Sifting and Sieving
Sorted Coir Pith is sieved and sifted to eliminate the small dust particles and extract the proper sized grains in accordance with the growing medium requirements.
Compaction of Coco Peat
The substrate mixture is compressed to the desired size using hydraulic presses.
